Good day!  Welcome to my small corner of Cyberspace.  Be my guest and snoop around. 🙂

I’m a software developer by training and profession.  By night, I like to study about personal finance and investment, and I have read many books on this topic.  I also like to browse the Internet on the latest research and development in finance, and sometimes I discover a nugget or two of investment opportunities. 🙂

I lead a busy lifestyle, but outside of work, I like to watch movies once in a while.  I also like swimming and live just beside a swimming complex.  I’m crazy over meditation and attend a 2-hour meditation session weekly held by Mitzong Qigong association.

I’m a devoted Christian and attend the Charis Methodist Church every Sunday with my parents and 2 aunts.

If you have any suggestions or feedback, feel free to drop me an email.

  4. Hello,

thank you for the excel macro.

I read that you are a Christian and that you do meditation. I am a Christian and I believe that the Bible is indeed God’s Word. I am writing to you because I know that “meditation” does not come from the Lord. The meditation of the scriptures refers to meditate on God’s Word and on his beauty. Other kinds of meditation all involve and emptying of the mind and are not godly. In fact in many cases by doing that one opens himself to the spirits, which are demons. Hence sometimes we see people that have strange and at the appearance wonderful experiences. But the bible clearly says that the devil is also called the deceiver. I know this is heavy but I am telling you this out of love. The bible repeatedly says to meditate on God’s word day and night. And by doing this you will be blessed and will bring fruit such as love peace and joy. The Lord has given us these instructions because he loves us. Here are some verses:

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” (Joshua 1:8)
“How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.” (Psalm 1:1-3)
“Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day.” (Psalm 119:97)
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” (Colossians 3:16)
“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” “ (John8:31-32)

The most important thing is that we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour which means that we believe in Him, and that we repent from our sins. As a result we will be born again (John 3) which means that we will have the Spirit of God living in us. It is very important to follow God’s word and his instructions, as He knows what is good and what is not, and to stay in His word daily and to pray.

Have a blessed week and, again, this is only out of love.
